to dissolve in pure water and organic solvents, solubility in water is increased by the presence of carbon dioxide. Soluble in acid, ammonium salt solution. Converted into crystals by high temperature burning.

When encountered with carbon dioxide in the air to generate magnesium carbonate complex salt.

The usage of MgO powder:

Used for rubber, plastic, wire, cable dyes, paint, glass, ceramics, chemical reagents,

pharmaceuticals, food additives, etc

One of the main uses of magnesium oxide is as a flame retardant. Traditional flame retardant

materials widely use flame retardant mixtures composed of halogenated polymers or halogenated

flame retardants. But once a fire occurs, due to thermal decomposition and combustion, a large

amount of smoke and toxic corrosive gases will be produced, which will hinder firefighting and

personnel evacuation, and corrode instruments and equipment.
