Product Description

CCM Magnesium oxide powder 90%

Magnesium oxide activity is the ability of magnesium oxide to participate in chemical

or physicochemical processes.

Activated magnesium oxide powder is MgCO₃ (magnesite ore ) burned by suspended

kiln with low temperature . Because the decomposition temperature of the ore is accurately

controlled, and the materials can be heated uniformly in a short time so its can keep good

activity and strong chemical reaction ability, activity value (citric acid test) produces a series

of products of 40-80 seconds.

Lightly burnt magnesium oxide powder activity test method:

The chemical activity of magnesium oxide can be expressed by the iodine absorption value,

the greater the chemical activity, the greater the iodine absorption value. The iodine absorption

value of 120-180mg/g is high activity of magnesium oxide, the iodine absorption value of 50-80mg/g

is medium activity of magnesium oxide.

Lightly burnt magnesium oxide activity test results:

Lightly burned magnesium oxide obtained from the calcination of magnesite has the

highest activity when the calcination temperature is 700 degrees Celsius and the

calcination time is 2 hours

Application of magnesium oxide powder:

One of main application is producing Magnesium sulfate, Magnesium sulfate can

be synthesized by reacting highly reactive magnesium oxide powder with sulfuric acid.

Magnesium sulfate is divided into two types, usually the production of magnesium sulfate

heptahydrate using 90% content of magnesium oxide powder, because the mgo powder

should totally reaction with sulfuric acid, then without impurity, all will be magnesium sulphate

solution, and crystal, it will be the white solid. And the production of magnesium sulfate

monohydrate using 88% content of magnesium oxide powder, because it doesn't require a full reaction.
