Application of Caustic calcined magnesia granular:

Magnesium oxide used in animal feed is usually in granular form and needs to be granular

between 0.3-2.0mm because the magnesium content of magnesium oxide is relatively high

and animals need magnesium supplementation to prevent hypomagnesemia and milk fever

in cattle from calving to peak milk production. Magnesium oxide pellets for feed additives are

an important magnesium supplement to the diet of ruminants. Magnesium oxide is calcined

from natural magnesite calcined at 900-1400 degrees Celsius and is an excellent additive for

the feed industry due to the low content of heavy metals in caustic calcined magnesia granular.

Animal feeds are often deficient in the required magnesium oxide levels for healthy animal

nutrition. A supplemental source of magnesium is required to maintain healthy levels within

a ruminant's diet. We offers a high purity of magnesium oxide 90% dry feed as well as

excellent biological availability.

Magnesium oxide deficiency in cattle and sheep can lead to a condition called grass tetany.

This condition is more common in the spring and fall when levels of magnesium oxide in the

natural forage are not adequate to maintain healthy levels within the animal. Feed supplements

and mineral premixes are commonly used to provide the necessary levels of magnesium oxide

to the animals to prevent grass tetany. caustic calcined magnesia granular 90% Dry Feed is the

most widely used source of magnesium for these applications.
